Since the period of the first industrial revolution caused by the surge in technologies, man has found a more suitable and convenient means to replace laborious efforts of humans by machines in order to enhance productivity.

As days become months and months become years, man’s ingenuity soared in the use of technology to make life and living better. The heavy reliance on technology to do almost everything is not new even to cave dwellers. The interconnectedness of the world through globalization is one beautiful possibility occasioned by the use of technologies. Marshall McLuhan, a communication scholar, was damn right with his postulation of a global village.

Ondo state under the leadership of Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has noted the invaluable benefits of investing in technologies especially as necessary tools to curb youths restiveness while creating economic growth and development for individuals as well as the state.

Significantly captured in the REDEEMED Agenda, Ditigital Education and Entrepreneurship Development is pivotal to the vision of improved governance especially in this 21st century.

Aware of this laudable development, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo State has mandated Ondo State Entrepreneurship Agency (ONDEA) to partner with local and international agencies in order to foster economic growth and development in the state by organizing a six month training for tech professionals and those who are interested in tech.

According to Dr Summy Smart, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Entrepreneurship, the tech awareness and development program which is set to run for six months to help develop young minds who are interested in tech is in conjunction with the State Information and Technology Agency (SITA) and other private local and international institutions.

Interestingly, participants pay nothing to benefit from the six months training. Intending participants are to note that the registration portal opens on Monday, 22nd of January while the program kicks off on the 30th of January 2024.

After the training, participants will be assisted to get remote jobs both in Nigeria and foreign countries. This training knows no politics as it’s available for anyone and everyone who has a tech background or is just simply interested in tech.
