The National Executive Council of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C/S) Unification Church has distanced its members from those who are involved in fetishism.
The Chairman, of the National Executive Council of the church, His Eminence Dr S.K. Adeoye, said none of the members of the unification is involved in fetishism and other diabolical objects.
Adeoye who stated this in Akure, the Ondo State capital during his familiarization tour to the state, insisted that no member of the unification would be involved in such a dastardly act.
Flanked by other members of the NEC, Adeoye further informed that not all those who wear white garments are members of the unification, and noted that the leadership of the church are currently working to ensure that such acts will not be found amid the church.
He said,” You can see that we are satisfied with the unification in Ondo State. Unification as a body is never condoned anything fetish and we are still working assiduously to ensure that we don’t give room for those who indulge in fetishism in our midst.
“We have separated the wheat from the chaff. We have seen various things on social media where people are carrying the ark of the covenant, pretending to be members of the C/S. Those who are doing things like that are not original members of C/S.
“They are not part of us and we will continually announce to the general public and Nigerians that they are not part of us. Any member of the C/S will never participate in such an act of carrying the Ark of the Covenant and any other act that can tarnish the image of the church.”
Earlier, the Ondo State chairman of the Unification, Primate Ade Ademisokun Turton (Onibode), commended the National Executive Council for their visit to the state.
Ademisokun-Turton who emphasized that all those diabolical approaches to godliness cannot be godliness, insisted that originality in the C/S unification church can never be compared with the fake outside.
According to him, “We still need to enlighten people. Because some people think every C/S member is the same. It is not so. We have charlatans and impostors.
“They are different from those who are genuinely called by God. Before we say counterfeit, there must be an original. The Unification Church is the original. Let the people align with the original.”
