The deputy governor of Ondo state, Dr Olayide Adelami, on Thursday, received the new leadership of Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association (OSACA), in Akure.
John Paul Akinduro, Spokesperson to Ondo State Deputy Governor reports that the group, who came on a ‘thank you’ visit to the deputy governor, lauded the Aiyedatiwa administration for paying attention to critical sectors.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Chief Abiodun Adejo, who is the new chairman, said they are thanking the deputy governor for gracing their inauguration and “waiting patiently till the end of the program”
The new chairman disclosed that OSACA, has come up with a lot of ideas on strengthening the agriculture value chain and would soon present it to the government.
He further hinted that the association will hold the 4th edition of Ondo State International Agric Show and Food Fair (OSIAFFA), later this year.
According to him, “there are sufficient evidences to show that the previous editions of the show attracted investors to the state. This year’s edition will be an improved one and the state will surely feel the impact”
The deputy governor appreciated the association for keying into Governor Aiyedatiwa’s agenda on food security, promising that the state government will continue to make available the enabling environment for Agric businesses to thrive.
“I thank you for your cooperation with our government, and for sustaining the objectives of this association. Rest assured, our governor will continue to support you and all others to ensure that we produce food in abundance and have enough to export” Adelami said.
