In a bid towards empowering the youth and enhancing sustainable development, Hon. Bolaji Omotayo Daramola (BOD) has announced the launching of a comprehensive skill acquisition scheme aimed at training over 200 youths across Ondo East and West Local Governments in Ondo State.

Ayomide Ayodele, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to BOD in a press release reports that the initiative, which commenced in June, aligns with BOD’s commitment to SDG 1: No Poverty and the creation of a viable society.

The scheme, meant towards empowering the youth and enhancing sustainable development, has already seen over 30 enthusiastic youths selected and immersed in various training programs.

These youths are currently receiving hands-on training from experienced teachers and masters across diverse fields. The training is designed to span six months, during which participants will gain practical skills tailored to their specific interests and career aspirations.

Following the initial training phase, the youths will undergo an intensive digital marketing program. This additional training aims to equip them with the necessary skills to market their products and services effectively using social media and other digital platforms. By integrating traditional skill acquisition with modern digital competencies, BOD ensures that the youths are well-prepared to thrive in today’s competitive market.

This project reflects BOD’s dedication to its cardinal projects and reflects his commitment to creating opportunities for youth empowerment. The initiative not only addresses immediate skill gaps but also sets the stage for long-term economic growth and sustainability in the region.
