President Bola Tinubu was on Friday seen at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
In a video now available on social media, Mr Tinubu was seen with three officials who accosted him to his car after coming out from the hospital. A nurse could been seen at the entrance of the facility apparently seeing them off.
The purpose of the President’s visit was unclear, as the hospital is known for its private maternity services and has been the birthplace of several British royal babies.
President Tinubu has been out of the country for over a week now.
Last week, the president was in China to attend the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
After the summit, Tinubu stated that one key takeaway from his visit to China is the commitment to replicate China’s infrastructure back home.
“We want our children to be in good schools, not tattered huts and dilapidated buildings. We must make our teaching innovative and allow businesses of all kinds and sizes to flourish.
“One economic action leads to another, and it is in your hand to build our nation. Mine is to provide the leadership, and I am committed to doing just that,” the President stated.
Since his visit to China, the whereabout of the president had been unknown, before the video of the UK hospital surfaced online.
