Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has congratulated former Governor of the State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on his 70th birthday celebration.
In his goodwill message to Dr. Mimiko, who was the Governor of the State between 2009 and 2017, Governor Aiyedatiwa in a statement signed by Ebenezer Adeniyan, his Chief Press Secretary hailed former governor’s contributions to the development of the State.
The Governor wrote: “On behalf of the good people and government of Ondo State, I congratulate former Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Olusegun Abayomi Mimiko, on the auspicious occasion of his 70th birthday.
“Dr. Mimiko, aside being a predecessor and the longest serving governor of the State, is an exceptional leader and a statesman whose contributions to the development of the State, especially in the health sector, remain indelible.
“I celebrate him as a living inspiration and a remarkable individual whose leadership and legacy continue to make a difference.
“It is my fervent prayer that the good Lord will continue to keep him in sound health.”
Similarly, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has showered praises on Engr. Ade Adetimehin, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state as he celebrates his birthday.
The Governor noted the doggedness, courage and exemplary leadership of the Ondo APC chairman in ensuring that the party continues to wax stronger in the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa commended Engr. Adetimehin’s fidelity to the progressive fold even when it was tough to be one.
The Governor said: “Engr. Ade Adetimehin is a dogged fighter and a great pillar in the progressive fold. He remained true to progressive ideas and ideals even when it was more beneficial to jump ship.
“As I join others to wish our chairman well on this important day of his life, I wish him God’s speed and strength in order to achieve more for humanity. I pray that God will keep him in good shape.”
