Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque Management Committee has described the death of Sheikh Muhyideen Bello as a big blow to the worshippers at the mosque.
Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, Chairman of the mosque noted that Sheikh Bello’s departure came as a shock to them.
He said Baba Muhyideen Bello remained loyal and committed to our leader, late former Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Senator. Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi, even in death.
When Governor Ajimobi died in 2020, Baba Muhyideen Bello asked that I come over to see him. At that meeting, he promised that, as long as he lived, he would dedicate the first day of Ramadan every year for Ajimobi Memorial Ramadan Lecture. Since 2021, Baba constitently did his first Ramadan Lecture at Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque every year, up till this year – such a display of commitment and loyalty. Baba was wonderful. In fact, he had already informed me to start planning for March 1, 2025 Ramadan Lecture. He was second to none.
I was with Baba Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello and we talked till 7pm on Thursday, 5th December only to start receiving calls the following morning, Friday, 6th December, from the family and others that Baba was no more, shockingly unbelievable ! From Allah we came and to Him we shall all return. It is difficult to come to terms with this reality.
Sheikh Muhyideen Bello is dead!!!
May Almighty Allah accept his return and grant him the best of barzakh and ultimately, Jannat-ul-Firdaws. May Allah also give the families he left behind, both his biological and we, the extension, the fortitude to bear this big, irreparable loss.
