Favour Adebayo, a 100-level Computer Science student of Achievers University, alongside his team from other Nigerian universities, Team Savvy, emerged as the grand prize winner at the GTB Habaripay’s Squad Hackathon 2.0.
The event, themed “Finclusion Revolution 2.0,” was held at the GTCO Training Complex, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on March 20, 2025, attracting no fewer than 65 young tech talents from tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Favour and his team’s groundbreaking fintech web application, developed using Squad’s API, secured them a ₦5 million grand prize, an entry into the Squad Hackademy for three years, and a career pathway with GTCO after completion.
Their solution, an auto-budgeting App, is designed to help individuals manage spending efficiently, shaping the future of financial inclusion in Nigeria.
