Ondo Bank Robbery: Ifedore LGA Chairman, Alex Oladimeji Visits Ilara Mokin

The Chairman of Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. Alex Oladimeji has visited Ilara Mokin Community where robbers killed Three persons in an attack on a commercial bank on Thursday.

Oladimeji was accompanied on the the visit by the Vice Chairman of the Council Hon. Sogo Ajikiola; the Secretary, Collins Awoseye, esq; Leader of the House, Hon. Sina Ogunmola and other Councillors.

Oladimeji and others who were on a condolence visit to the community visited the Palace of the Ilara King, Police Station, the Bank and other places affected during the robbery incident.

Oladimeji speaking after the visit noted that they are in Ilara to sympathise with them on the unfortunate robbery incident that occurred on Thursday at the UBA branch of the Community.

“I want to commiserate with all the affected people and promised to do our best to assist all the affected people within our power.

“I also wish to call on the Community Youths to stop attacking police station, because the police are always affected during such violent reaction.

“We want to assure the people of Ifedore LGA that we would tighten up security in the Council to prevent against any unfortunate incident in the future,” he said.

The Ilara monarch appreciated them on the visit, while the Divisional Police Officer in the community pleaded with the Council management to assist them in renovating the Police station, as well as the burial of the diseased Policeman.

Responding, the Chairman promised to assist within the Council’s financial strength in renovating the Ilara Police station that had been destroyed.

The Ifedore LGA management also used the occasion to sympathise with the family of the lost souls , the policeman, and Journalist, Olubunmi Afuye as well as the Okada man.
