Godwin Obaseki  The All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the 2016 governorship election in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has won the tightly contested election with the People's Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Osagie Ize-iyamu. Reports say the APC candidate won 13 local governments out of the 18 councils in the State.  More details to come.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has released more results from the governorship election in Edo State.  With 10 local governments results released so far,  the All Progressives Congress APC have won 6, while the People's Democratic Party PDP had 4. More to come.
