Communication Scholar, Soola Attributes Academic Success To His Root

 A Professor of Communication study, Prof.
Ebenezer Soola has attributed his successes in the academia to his
constituency, the Department of Communication and Language Arts, CLA, University
of Ibadan, Ibadan.

Prof Soola said contrary to wide belief that he
has produced 22 academic doctors in the field of communication; he owed the
Department of CLA a great level of appreciation for providing the support to
achieve such feat.

“Many people have praised me for producing 22
academic doctors, but I want them to know that whatever I have achieved today
is not by my making, but by the environment created by the Department of Communication
and Language Arts of the University of Ibadan.” Soola said.

He also used the opportunity of the 3rd Ebenezer
Soola Conference on Communication to thank his doctorate students and the local
organising committee of the programme for putting up a befitting event to mark
his contribution to the academia.

The wife of Prof Soola, Mrs Stella Soola , his
eldest son, Yinka and wishers as well as his academic students eulogised the
Communication scholar for his immense contribution to the development of
communication studies in the country.

According to them, Prof Soola is a scholar that
must be celebrated, adding that it is unfair to celebrate scholars that have
contributed to human development after their demise.

The theme of the conference is Communication,
Change Management and Sustainable Development in the 21st century
