Workers in public and private sector in Benin city have resumed working activities after the public holidays announced by the federal government.
Precision Journos’s Zika Sonia in Benin city reported that the Civil Service Commission at Sapele Road, Benin city witnessed a large turnout of workers who arrived early for the day’s work while some arrived late.
The workers were delighted about the new year celebration as well as prompt payment of their last salary by the state government.
In Ondo State, the Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko at an event organised to pray for a fruitful working year, described the civil servants in the state as the engine behind the achievements of his administration.
Some of the workers at the prayer session thanked God for making them wittnessed another year and promised to sustain the tempo going forward.
