A throwback newspaper cutting of an interview granted by the new head at the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Jelani Aliyu has surfaced on the internet.
In the interview conducted by Weekly Trust on 29th November, 2014 located on the 24th page, the Chevrolet Volt designer and Sokoto state-born technocrat harped on the need for Nigeria to prioritise creativity rather than the grades in a certificate.
He noted that during his days of working with General Motors (GM), he was never asked to present his certificate but rather his employers believed more in what he can offer with his talent amd creativity.
