Eid El-Fitri: FIBAN Sues For Peace, Prayer Among Nigerians

Freelance and Independent Broadcaster Association of Nigeria [FIBAN] has congratulated all Muslim faithful and the entire Nigerian on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri which signals the end of Ramadan fast – one of the most crucial pillars of Islam.

 

A statement by the union’s national publicity secretary, Bisi Ajiboye and made available to THE PRECISION, the union in the spirit of eid el-fitri celebration due in the coming days, urged Nigerians to let the lesson imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan fast control all their thought and action as well as continue to relate as an entity. 
Mr Ajiboye who quoted the national president of the union, Desmond Nwachukwu called for prayers and peaceful coexistence among all ethnic and religious group in the country.
He urged all members of Freelance and Independent Association of Nigeria [FIBAN] to use the opportunity of the end of holy month of Ramadan that coincides with FIBAN state general elections to allow peace to reign before, during and after the election.
“I’m personally urging all member of our association to use the opportunity of this holy month that coincide with our state’s general election allow peace to reign and play the game according to the rule as I’m assuring every aspirants across the country that a level play ground is sure.
“repositioning of FIBAN is a responsibility of all members to profitably achieve its core mandates, deserved identity, needed dignity and expected prosperity which is now pertinent and sacrosanct. We must dream and team together, work and win together, stand and work together to restructure and rebrand our association by extension play our prominent role in making our society a better place to live in,” Desmond said.
Meanwhile, the timetable released by the Chairman, FIBAN Electoral Committee, Akinkunmi Alabi, indicates that the union’s election process will take place simultaneously across the coutry. The screening of candidates takes place on the 21st June, 2017 and accreditation of members and voting comes up on 5th of July 2017. 
Mr Alabi calls for cooperation among members in order to have free, fair and credible general election.
