The Ondo north development forum has contributed the leader of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams on his appointment at the 15th “Aare Ona Kakanfo” of Yoruba land by the Alaafin of Oyo kingdom, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
A statement signed by the group’s coordinator, Oladotun Azeez Ibraheem also congratulated the good and culture-conscious people of Ondo state and beyond over the emergence of the ondo-born activist as the new generalisimmo of the yoruba race.
“After such a long time of careful consultation and consideration, we want to believe your golden achievements, deposited by an unprecedented stream of patriotic commitments, was the major ladder to this great height. We are aware of the sad and bitter historical facts pointing to the disjointed and unimpressive supports leaders from our district got in time past, but we are assuring you of our support as you bid to work towards a better and self-sustaining Yoruba nation.
“Furthermore, we appreciate the “Iku baba yeye”, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi (III), for finding you worthy of occupying this seat. We, on behalf of the people of Ondo north senatorial district, wish the Alaafin of Oyo an unprecedentedly long reign on the throne laced with peace, progress and development in unity,” the statement read.
