A youth group in Ondo state under the auspices of Ondo Youths Future Assembly (OYFA) had described Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN as a responsive leader in government.
Besides, the group also hailed the governor for delivering leadership with integrity and restoring the lost values of sincerity in government.
The group in a statement issued in Akure, the state capital and signed by its secretary Comrade Ijawoye Micheal, lauded the governor for listening to the plight of the people of the state.
The statement read “One of the banes of our democracy over a long time is that our government doesn’t listen to the cries of the people. There seems to always exist a gap between the government and the governed
“Arakunrin Akeredolu has distinguished himself on this. He’s very responsive. He pays attention to every details. He has shown that he’s concern about the well being of his people.”
The group said it was surprised to see that the governor has directed his men to commenced work on the collapsed bridge along Oba Akoko – Afo – Ikun road, few days after a heavy down pour washed away the bridge.
“The social media was awashed with the pictures of the collapsed bridge. Some Governors would see it and pretend. But, Akeredolu is not like that. Between three to four day, he has already directed that work should commence on the bridge and as we speak, work is ongoing
“It is imperative for us, as future leaders to criticize the government where is goes wrong and also praise it where its doing well.” the statement reads
The youth group also commended the governor for the massive ongoing work at the notorious Oke Alabojuto road in Ikare Akoko and his efforts to restore power to the south senatorial district.
OYFA, however, call on the governor to speed up work on the collapsed bridge so as to allow people take their usual route through the bridge.
