Barring any hitch, the Ondo State House of Assembly will today Friday reconvene to decide the fate of local government administration in the state.
The House is already on recess having adjourned plenary for a 6 week break last week Friday.
Before embarking on a recess, the House declined the move to extend the tenure of the Local Government Caretaker Committee by another 6 months but ordered that the Directors of Local Government Administration take over the runnings of the 18 council area of the state.

There have been insinuations in some quarters that the state government is looking at conducting a fresh election at the local government but this is yet to be confirmed.
The decisions to be taken at today’s emergency planary may however put an end to the unending rumours of a possible tenure renewal for some of the caretaker committee members or a possible conduct of election in April/May, 2020.
The Precision NG will update the story as it unfolds later in the day.
