The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all the eighteen chairmanship seats in Ondo state.
The party also cleared 194 councillorship seats out of 198 seats.
Results in four remaining wards were declared inconclusive.
Seven political parties participated in the exercise on Saturday.
Announcing the election results on Sunday afternoon, Chairman of Ondo Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) Prof. Yomi Dinakin said there was no contest in five local governments.

Dinakin, who declared APC candidates winner of the elections in the five local government areas, said it was in line with the electoral act.
Meanwhile, following their emergence at the just concluded Ondo State Local Government election, held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Monday, 24 August, 2020, swear-in the newly elected Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the 18 local government areas.
The swearing in was held at the main hall of the International Cultural & Events Centre (The Dome).
Addressing the gathering, governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who described the Saturday’s local government election as commendable in spite of paucity of funds challenged the local government chairmen and their vices to ensure the welfare of the people at the grassroots remained their priorities
Governor Akeredolu who however observed few hitches in the just concluded local government polls urged the chairmen to work harder to be able to compliments confidence reposed in them by the electorate
Governor Akeredolu also charged the council leadership to cut across all phases of lives such as agriculture, education, health, social and commerce to make government at the grassroots more viable
Responding on behalf of others, Alex Oladimeji from Ifedore local government appreciated the electorate for the opportunity to serve and assured governor Akeredolu of complementary governance at the grassroots
