Breaking: Court To Arraign Ondo Speaker, Others For Contempt On December 17

The Ondo State High Court has served form 49 – contempt of court committal, on Ondo Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, the Clerk, Parliamentary Secretary and Deputy-majority leader, The Precision NG can understand.

Consequently, the court will arraign the four contemnors on Thursday, December 17.

The court took the decision after the assembly officials disobeyed the judgment that reinstated four suspended members.

Recalled that form 48 was served on November 26, 2020 to the speaker and other officials as a warning notice on the need to obey the court judgement.

A senior official of the court confirmed to The Precision NG that the contemnors have been served the court order.

Contempt of court is any action that disrespects the authority of the court and brings the court/judge into disrepute.
