There is tension among residents of Ishinigbo community, as thugs are allegedly being positioned at the palace of the traditional ruler of Ude community, on Saturday evening.

Ishinigbo and Ode communities are suburbs of Igoba in Akure North local government area of Ondo state.

Few days ago, there was an attack on the palace of the Ode high chief by some residents of Ishinigbo in protest of the demolition of over 100 houses destroyed by the Ode chief.

The palace of the Ode high chief was razed during the fracas.

Report says he took to his heels after sighting the raging residents of Ishinigbo.

Tonight, Saturday, November 4, a resident of Ishinigbo, who do not want his name mentioned, told The Precision NG, that the Ode high chief has now ordered for thugs around the area, raising fears that they may be converging for a reprisal attack.

The Ishinigbo resident urged the government and security operatives to take note of the development for prompt action.

Asked what steps have been taken in the last few days after the violence attacks from residents of both communities, the resident told The Precision NG, that the government have responded by drafting security operatives to the area but that they only worked till the evening.

The resident however appealed to the governor of Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to draft security operatives to the area tonight as they are apprehensive about a reprisal attack from the Ude high chief.
