US President Donald Trump has lifted coronavirus travel restrictions from EU, UK, Ireland and Brazil.

Trump’s directive takes effect from January 26.

The outgoing president is due to leave office on January 20 and the directive is coming barely 24hrs to the swearing in of president-elect, Joe Biden.

Prior to the decision on lifting restrictions on covid, Trump had pardoned about 100 convicts in a move analysts have described as a post presidency politics.
