The former Olujare of Ijare, Oba Oluwagbemigun Adebamigbe, Kokotiri II who joined his ancestors earlier this year was at the last event held in 2019. No event was held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Similarly, the executives of the Ijare National Students Union (INSU) have concluded plans to launch the official anthem for the body during the Ijare day event.

The General Secretary of the Union, Comrade Emmanuel Ige told The Precision NG that the anthem would be available for download online from November 13.
