The National Orientation Agency, Ondo State Directorate has urged the people of Ondo State to observe this month environmental sanitation by clearing, cleaning and tidy up their surroundings.
This month’s environmental sanitation exercise is slated for Saturday 24th, September 2022 between the hours of 7am and 10am with restriction of movement.
The Ondo state NOA Director, Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu in a press statement issued in Akure on Friday, through the public and media relations officer, Ralph Oguntibeju, admonished Ondo residents to maintain high level of hygiene and healthy environment.
The NOA boss reiterated that the tasks of making our environment clean is the responsibility of all Nigerians.
She enjoined the people to guide against unwholesome practices of indiscriminate dumping of refuse to volatile area as it could constitute environmental health hazard to the overall well-being of citizenry especially as the rain Keep increasing and moving of dirt from one area to another.
Furthermore, the NOA Director charged the stakeholders in the environmental Sanitation project to braze up to the challenge of making this month Edition a huge success.
She warned those who are in the habit of contravening the provision of the extant law of the exercise to desist as any one caught by law enforcement agents during the exercise would be duly prosecuted.
