Mimiko in a message, personally signed by him and made available to Precision, described him as a consummate diplomat, erudite intellectual, humane administrator.

“Irrespective of words in tonnes, penned in grandiose oratory, that have come his way, we wish to add ours in appreciation of his demonstrated love for us and our modest efforts while in government in Ondo State.

“For more than once we called on him and more than once he heeded our call to help broaden our knowledge, motivate us and our team with his global experience and help hold against global best practices, our efforts in our dear Ondo State.

“On each occasion, his urbane nature, humility, elegance in character and ideas and wealth of experience shone through and we were the better for it.

“For the likes of Anyaokwu, their continued presence on this side of the divide is a service to humanity and an attestation to the infinite power of the divine.

“Olukemi and I therefore find this day auspicious to wish this global citizen, one of Nigeria’s noblest gifts to the world and an epitome of brilliance, diligence and excellence, happy birthday with a prayer for good health and divine strength to live the rest of his life in continuing service to our land and his maker.”
