Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON on Union Matters and Special Duties, Mr Dare Aragbaiye and others have been conferred with the award of Fellows of Owo Anglican Communion.
The Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Revd Dr Stephen Ayodeji Fagbemi administered the vow of fellowship and conferred the honour the carefully selected person during the Owo Anglican Diocese 40th Anniversary Thanksgiving and Investiture of Fellows held at St Andrew’s Church, Imola Street, Owo.
According to the Bishop, the Church of God having noticed the commitment and dedication of the honourees to the things of God both within and outside the Diocese found them worthy of the Honour.
He said the conferment of the Fellowship of Owo Anglican Diocese is an acknowledgment of past past valuable services to the work of God either in the Diocese or elsewhere.
The cleric said the honour is intended to serve as an encouragement to the recipients, to continue to increase in good works, and also to attain greater height in their service of God and humanity.
Among the 28 recipients of the Fellowship badge are: Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Oba Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan; Special Adviser to Governor Akeredolu on Union Matters and Special Duties, Mr Dare Aragbaiye; former deputy governor of Osun State, Chief Mrs Grace Titi Tomori -Ponle; Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Olayato Aribo; Chief Tokunbo Ajasin; Barrister Segun Olugboyegun; among others.
Meanwhile, flurry of congratulatory messages have continued to pour in for Aragbaiye over his investiture as Fellow of Owo Anglican Diocese.
Friends and well-wishers from within and outside the country have congratulated him on the well deserved recognition.
The former Head of Service is known for his selfless service to the Church and God, and his unwavering commitment to humanity.
