Family members of one of the persons hit by an alleged internet fraudster (yahoo boy) in Akure on Easter Monday, have appealed to Nigerians to assist them with financial support.
The victim, Abdullahi Bolajoko Ibrahim was one of the four persons that sustained serious injuries after the car of Tope Olorunfemi (who was later stoned to death by angry mob) hit him.
The family members who spoke to newsmen through one of the daughters of the victim, Temitope Ibrahim, disclosed that the family, relations and well wishers have spent over two million naira in a bid to stabilize her father.
According to Temitope, her father is currently at the Federal Medical Center, Owo, after visiting two different hospitals in Akure and spending over one million naira.
She said apart from his right leg that is seriously affected (said to be broken in three different places), some of his internal organs are said to be affected after suffering internal bleeding for so long, which warranted his referral to the FMC.
“As at the last time we talked, the family has spent over two million naira, and still needs more.
“The daughter is appealing to well-meaning individuals to come to her aid as she needs all the help she can get.
