The Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde popularly known as Abena, has promised to complete the ongoing project of the construction of the Oyemekun Grammar School Alumni Building which will house the secretariat of the old students.
Abena disclosed this on the sidelines of the monthly meeting of OGSA old boys in Akure during an interview with The Precision NG.
The SSG who hosted the meeting also promised to mobilise his set – the 1971 set to put up a project in the school just like other sets have done.
“I am happy to host this month’s meeting and seeing old faces again give me a lot of joy.
“The outgoing principal has done a lot for the school and I am delighted that he has been conferred with the fellow of the school, so he is part of us.
“The outgoing chairman, Revd Ayo Ikulamberu has also been wonderful but he has to go now. We were thinking we can keep him to continue to work for us, but it is as if he has some other things to do,” he said.
He advised the incoming executive members led by Engr Olusegun Olumilola to be proactive and work towards the development of the school.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of ‘certificate of host’ to the SSG by the outgoing chairman, Ayo Ikulamberu.
