The speaker of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun says students involved in the destruction of properties at the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) following protest last week would be brought to book.
Mr Oleyelogun who was at the school alongside other principal officers of the house on Tuesday said the house has set up a committee that would investigate the level of destruction and come up with the best solution to the crisis.

The rector who narrated the ordeal hinted that the damage done is worth over 150 million naira.
While appreciating the assembly members for their
intervention, he debunked rumours that he collected 250 million naira from
the state government for security.
THE PRECISION gathered that the policy was given a wider publication by the
school management, which was confirmed by the head of the Students Union Government, Comrade Temitayo Ayejuyo.

Comrade Ayejulo described the protest as unfortunate and needless.
“The SUG leader pleaded with the
management last semester over the policy and the institution allowed the
students who were owing tuition fees to write first semester examination but this is the second semester and all outstanding fees must
be paid as some of the student are finalist,” he said.
