NUJ Applauds Akeredolu For Appointing Member As The Hope Editor | The Precision

The Union in a Press Statement signed by its State Secretary, Comrade Leke Adegbite commended the governor for appointing what they called an insider and competent professional to head the state owned print media outfit.
The Union describes Mr Akin Adubuola as a round peg in a round hole who had contributed his quota to the development of Journalism profession in the state and country in general that had all round in his Journalism career being a core print media man.
The Union said the new Acting Editor of The Hope newspaper will live up to his responsibility considering his track records as a journalist and former Officer of NUJ in the state.
While stressing the need for all staff of the Owena Press to give full support to the new Head to move the outfit to higher level,

NUJ therefore charged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by Arakunrin Akeredolu, the people of the state and media industry.
“Mr Adubuola served the Union at chapel and State levels and did well, we commend Arakunrin Akeredolu and his able Media team headed by Mr Yemi Olowolabi for having a confidence in one of us. We appeal to our members at The Hope newspaper to be more proactive in moving the company to another level”.
“NUJ appreciates the state government for supporting the newspaper with necessary funds to enable it continues with its regular publication and calls for timely confirmation of Mr Adubuola’s appointment as a substantive Editor of The Hope”.
“The importance of The Hope newspaper can not be overemphasized in reporting laudable achievements of the Present administration, hence the need for the state government to sustain its investment in making the newspaper compete favourably in the contemporary and competitive media industry”, the Statement read.
