The Olujare-in-council says the people of Ijare deserve more developmental projects from the Akeredolu-led government.

The Sasere of Ijare, Chief Wemimo who spoke on behalf of the Olujare-in-council at the 2019 Ijare day celebration on Saturday, reminded the Governor of the contribution of the community to his election in 2016.

“we made bold to say it that Ijare community gave Arakunrin more votes than any other community in Ifedore local government in the last election.

“we want Mr Governor to go and crosscheck the results again, we gave him massive votes and we believe that if our road is constructed, we will replicate the good gesture.

“the road is very germane to us and we believe Mr Governor will extend the road that is being constructed from Orita-obele to Oke-Odu to Ijare.

“Ijare is the biggest producer of Kolanut in Ondo state and if the road is good enough for commuters to ply, the Kolanut will be rolled out without stress, thereby contributing to the economic development of the state.

“we want to assure the people of the state that we won’t abandon any road.

“Above all, the people of Ijare should be patient with us as the road construction from orita-obele to Oke-Odu will surely reach the town.
