Normalcy has returned to Ikare Akoko, in Akoko Northeast local government of Ondo state after the Nigerian Army deployed its men to the town to restore peace, following sporadic gunshot on Tuesday morning.
The shootings were not unconnected with the Olokoja of Okoja chieftaincy dispute which began on Monday.
Calmness has now returned to the commercial axis of the town which was deserted early hours of Tuesday.
