The management of Achievers University, Owo has appointed a Deputy Bursar with the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Mrs Oluwafunmibi Ayodeji as the Institution’s New Substantive Bursar.
A letter signed by the Vice Chancellor, Professor O. S Aje conveyed the appointment.
The appointment is for a five year term subject to renewal after the first five years beginning from January, 2023.
Congratulating her, the Vice Chancellor, FUTA, Professor Adenike Oladiji said “on behalf of the university management, I congratulate you on your appointment as Bursar, Achievers University Owo. Management is particularly delighted with the appointment which is a well thought out decision in view of the peculiar obligations from Chief Financial Officers of private establishments. We are convinced that you were appointed because you proved your worth during the selection process and that you will continue to operate in that realm of excellence. It is the fervent hope of the university management that you will continue to be a very good ambassador of FUTA”.
Mrs. Ayodeji joined the services of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Center for Continuing Education (CCE), in February 2004 as Higher Executive Officer (Accounts) and was there till 2006. She joined the Bursary Department of the University in 2006 as an Accountant l and rose through the rank to become a Deputy Bursar in November 2021.
Mrs. Ayodeji holds Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting at Yaba College of Technology Lagos in 1998, a Master in Business Administration (MBA) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2010: Bachelor of Science in Accounting (B.Sc. Accounting) at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko in 2014 and a Master of Technology Degree (M. Tech) in Project Management Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2017.She possesses the professional qualification as a chartered accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN) in 2006.
She was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 2017. She worked in the Bursary Department’s various units, including the Final Account Unit from 2006 to 2015, where she spent 9 years preparing the University’s financial statements, and the Reconciliation Unit as Head of the Unit between 2015 to 2017.
As a result of her trustworthiness and hard work, she was deployed to head the Procurement Unit of the University as the Procurement Officer from 2017 to January 2022, where she nurtured the Unit from its infancy to a standard Directorate.
She was deployed back to the Bursary Department in March 2022 to head the Fixed Assets and Stock Verification Unit to date. She has demonstrated deep loyalty to the University system at different times.
