US House Of Representatives Okays Resolution Calling For Trump’s Removal

The US House of Representatives resolution calling on Vice President Pence to invoke 25th Amendment and remove President Donald Trump has now been passed.

The Lawmakers’ voting slant indicate 233 votes to 205.

Pence who doubles as the ceremonial president of the US senate and by extension the chairman of Congress has however made it clear, he will not invoke the 25th amendment for the removal of Trump.

The Precision NG reports that rioters loyal to outgoing president, Donald Trump had last week took over the capitol hill, desecrating the offices of speaker Nancy Pelosi and that of the senate president and VP, Mike Pence.

Four people died in the riot. Social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter have also suspended the outgoing US president accounts.

Joe Biden, president-elect describe the event as an insurrection on the US state. The incident also witnessed wide condemnation from past presidents of the United States as well as world leaders.
